Rebecca Baker Dynamize Marketing

Rebecca Baker (MCIM, CMKtr)
Chief Marketing Officer

With over 15 years of experience in the industry, Rebecca has a wealth of marketing knowledge. She has played an integral role in driving business growth for major international companies including Mouchel and Mettis Aerospace, as well as a number of smaller SME’s and start-up firms.

Having achieved the status of one of the youngest Chartered Marketers in the world at the age of just 26, Rebecca completed another personal goal in 2019. Alongside her business partner, she launched her own marketing agency – Dynamize Marketing.

Rebecca is an expert in devising top-level strategies, delivering robust plans that enable business growth. She is also an accomplished creative designer and bid writer – she previously wrote, managed and secured a major tender with Boeing Commercial Aircraft worth £26million.

Now for the real insight into Bec...

I have two kids (Bradley and Rey), a dog called Boo, oh! and a husband. I live off coffee and enjoy the odd gin and tonic. At the weekend I can often be found walking in the woods with two feral kids, seeing friends and family, or catching-up on lack of sleep.

  • My favourite TV Show is: Schitts Creek / The Office / Parks & Rec
  • In another life, I would be: Lay on a beach somewhere with a cocktail in hand
  • I have a totally irrational fear of: Frogs.

Emma Aston
Expert Client Manager

Emma has a wealth of experience developing quality, long-lasting customer relationships. She has played an integral part in the growth of the business, attending multiple networking events for local companies across Worcestershire and the West Midlands.

Her career has seen her achieve success with both small and corporate-sized employers, meaning she has a unique understanding of the challenges sales teams face in both environments. As a result, her input into many of our campaigns around driving our clients sales revenue has proved invaluable. Emma was previously a Senior Account Manager at EE for five years, managing a team of 12 Account Managers and over 400 business customers.

Upon starting a family, she became self-employed and built her own home-based cosmetics business from scratch, turning over £50,000 a year. She built a loyal following of over 400 customers exclusively through Facebook. Emma therefore understands the importance of social media and your business page being a shop window for your brand.

Yeah, that's all great, but who is Emma (really)?

I am a mum of four, one girl and three boys – including twins! I absolutely love spending time with my family and travelling. I can normally be found with a coffee in my hands!

  • My favourite TV Show/Film us: Love Actually. The necklace/CD moment gets me every time. If you know, you know!
  • The superpower I wish I had is: to be invisible!
  • In another life, I would be: living in California. Year-long sunshine!

Alex Read
Content Manager

Alex has over ten years of experience working within sales and marketing, four of which were spent alongside Rebecca Baker, Director at Dynamize, in the marketing department at Mettis Aerospace. He then spent six years in the recruitment industry with a global staffing business.

In his role as Content Manager at Dynamize Marketing, Alex is in charge of creating engaging, informative copy across a host of platforms. Whether it be for a website, blogs, articles or social media posts, he is able to understand the customers requirement, taking their message and translating it into engaging, user-friendly content.

He is also adept in creating marketing proposals and analytical reports, detailing where website content can be modified and improved to boost search engine rankings.

...and a bit more about you Alex?

I absolutely love travelling, so much so that I actually have my own travel blog (Depth of Mind). When I’m not blogging, you’ll find me at the gym, playing football or enjoying a beer with the lads.

  • My most embarrassing work moment was: Getting sent down to the stores as an apprentice for a “long stand”. I was there for quite a while until my colleague behind the desk couldn’t keep up the pretence any longer and took pity on me.
  • The superpower I wish I had is: to fly!
  • My go-to karaoke song is: Neil Diamond – Sweet Caroline

Dan Newby
Technical Marketing Executive

Dan is our Technical Marketing Executive and has over eight years of experience within the industry. A highly experienced professional, he is able to add value to our client projects in a number of areas. He’s accomplished in the creation of artwork and video in the Adobe Creative Cloud Suite and leading email marketing campaigns via the likes of Mailchimp and the Goldvision CRM system.

Believe it or not, for all of Dan’s technical expertise and know-how when it comes to marketing, he is actually self-taught, although he has followed this up by undertaking a Level 7 qualification in digital marketing. This hasn’t stopped him from excelling in his role, such as when he project managed his ex-employers paid-per-click (PPC) advertising strategy that led to a substantial increase in sales.

Amongst his many areas of expertise, he particularly enjoys working within SEO, devising search adverts, keyword research, CMS management and web design.

Introducing the REAL Dan!

I live for cricket – this often consumes my summer weekends playing for Colwall Cricket Club…followed by beer or 3.

  • My favourite Film is: The Lord of the Rings
  • The superpower I wish I had is: Teleportation. You can get anywhere instantly so there’d be no more traffic jams for me!
  • My go-to Karaoke song is: Tribute by Tenacious D. It’s an absolute classic!
